Sails are up!
We left about 2 hours ago from Belfast with great fanfare. Wives, and brothers, friends and sisters, grandparents and parents. Great joy and nerves all around.

Great day to leave. Funny feeling that we are not returning from where we started. First time for some of us. Gave the keys to Amy and said “see you in Norway.”
Be sure to follow the progress of the boat on the marine traffic app. Look up the name of the boat: Healer and you see where we are.

We have been fortunate to have had a host of participants on the trip. Andrew Blackstock supplied technical gear for anchoring, Shelley, my sister, found 2 quarts of fresh strawberries as a topping for her tireless work scrubbing cabinets, going to the store, saving us time in getting ready, Jenn Plaut’s elderberry syrup, Vanessa Plaut’s blueberry pie, Amy Wagner’s home base support, Chas and Linda’s Gills medicinal herbs. OK who else? The two Jane’s helped Charlie and I pack, Wit and Helen; Larry’s brother and sister-in-law made an incredible tuna dinner and on and on people have been involved.
I got to say; what makes a trip? All the people participating for starters.
