July ? It’s a Sunday we know that.

The rain came and humidity spiked. Hope enough to dampen the forest fire NE of Halifax.

We left Baddek on Cape Breton about an hour ago. Another fuel stop, top off , some beer, scones, and Oatcakes.

Great little stop. Larry and I have been at a couple of other times before. Dwayne, who works at the marina let us pile in his car to make the run to get supplies. Canadian kindness society is fully operational.

We got through the lock at about 830 am, then into a deriving rain and elk not winds at our stern all day. Steve masterfully steered us the whole way, while the rest of us read books, made an apple crisp and tried to temper our tapping foots wanting to get to going across to Newfoundland.

We saw two horsehead or Gray Seals in the brackish Bras D’or lakes, a couple of terns, every other living creature was tucked in to keep out of the storm.

So now we are off to Labrador/Newfoundland. We will hit the open water using the change of tides at 7pm then sail the 2 or so days to get to the next supply stop.

Current location 4pm
