Wet day, drizzle to pouring. Walking taking pictures
It was intense coming in last night. We had to look ahead three days to meet the current and tides at the right time to get into the channel at the Faroe Islands. The timing worked out. Into the wind for half a day, heavy slamming, waves and fickle wind up to 30 knots. Seemed like 30 miles was 300.
Charlie rocked out the approach while listening to a Micky Holler Audio book, in the North Sea. Eventuality we were all up dealing with the sails, monitoring the chart. Red head lamps providing a surreal glow.
The anticipated pontoons were not in the harbor, there was, as it turned out, another boat tucked up to the bulk head. We ended up lining up right behind them.
After a short toast, we peeled off the wet clothes and went to sleep.
It’s a small town. We walked to the end of the bay.
We all had a strange experience at the Viking display above the tourist center. Maybe we will keep those pictures to ourselves.

Larry and I went aboard the Bulgarian expedition boat. Why? Who doesn’t like talking boats. We learned about skiing in Svalbard, back country touring Kazakhstan from Lu the professional guide. Aluminum boats, Bulgaria.
