Our Bulgarian neighbor got off around 8, we untied a little while later and were off. Out and to the south. Beautiful slopping hills, sheep grazing, drizzling rain. Current conscious the whole way, we ended up slamming into a confluence between two islands at the bottom of the channel and had uninvited water soak the forward bunk.
It only took a couple of hours to turn the corner, and then remember I hadn’t signed in with customs. James navigated the harbor master and got me the info to fill the online docs out and we ended up fine.
When we docked, way back in against a city street it seems there was a strange discomfort. Torshavn is the most cosmopolitan place we’ve been. Lots of stimulation, colors and order and tidiness. Beautiful and overwhelming.

Alfred came from the part authority to welcome us in and show us the sophisticated URL system to pay and get access to laundry and showers.
We all spit up, often the case. Walks, get out see the sights, do some chores all part of a landing. Eat; egg omelette with hummus and chili sauce, salad with olive and feta. Definitely cosmopolitan.
We have been working to get a car rental from two days. The island is full up with a soccer tournament and a handball tourney. Magli made a side deal with a car dealer pal and got us a car. We paid cash for it, in an Irish pub, in Torshavn, no credit card , no paperwork.

We were approached by a man just by the boat, said “Healer?” We said “yes”. He had seen us earlier in the day from his drive around the island. He had spotted us coming down the channel and wanted to share the videos of the boat at a distance.
How about that.
So we ate , rested, walked, met some new people. Calmed down a bit.
