Every one is back now. Steve and I in Colorado, James in Western Maine, Larry in Belfast, Charlie in Portland.
We trickled in over the last 4 or 5 days. Amazing flight over Iceland, Asleep as we flew over Greenland. Sea legs were gone awhile back.
Felt good to be on level not moving ground. The counters at my house look like the boat did the last days, covered in stuff to sort and out away. Seems strange not to be in touch with the crew, knowing there every move like we did on the boat.
So speaking for myself I am slowly taking making a transition back to the noisy, dusty rectangular world of Colorado. Hot and dry. Jane and I already made a run up to cold water creek.
Plans for next year are in the works. Larry is thinking of getting going again in early May, moving the boat north.
We had an extraordinary time participating on this venture. Fine moments with fine men on that boat.
Last day or so in the boat; Larry brought up that “we did it.” We talked about a year ago and we made it to Norway. That is some strong medicine.
